Look up a video cap program called fraps. Note* if you have under 1gb of ram, you'll probably get a choppy 3 frames per second. lol

Gig and RAM and decent processer, and a Video Card that can handle it.

All three are required unless you want video that is basically a slideshow.

This might work for you. I didn't get a chance to read about it much as I use fraps (which only cost $20 when I bought it). Anyway hope this helps. If its not what I thought it was sorry.

HyperCam records any length for Free i think (i've done atleast 5 minutes on it). The only catch is a Watermark in the Corner of the Screen.

I come from a video background, so I probably do it in a different way then most people would. But it is actually fairly easy, and not very expensive anymore.

Most video cards now have an S-Video or Composite output. Simply hook this to a VCR. If you want sound also, hook up a 1/8" DIN male to RCA male plug from your sound card to the audio in port of the VCR.

Then you simply use the VCR to record what you want. This has several advantages over other systems, since it does not use ANY CPU time, and records at full frame rate.

To turn it into a video file, simply get a TV Tuner Card. Those can be found for as little as $35. You just play the video, useing the card to capture it. Use the video editing program of your choice, and you are done.

This works great, especially on those programs that are unfriendly to conventional screen capture techniques. And since there is no software needed to capture this way, you do not have to sacrifice performance in order to get what you want.

This is what Mechanima makers have been doing for years. The video series "Red Vs. Blue" is made in this way, useing the videotaped recording from several players on X-box machines.
